Lew Stasko vs Waleed Maroon

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 08/01/2040 from Mecca, Saudi Arabia:

The Mecca venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Lew Stasko (4 - 19) who hails from Poznan, Poland and Waleed Maroon(1 - 11(1)) from Mecca, Saudi Arabia.  

Round 1: 

Maroon advances into close range and lands a left hook.  
Stasko connects with a cross.  
Stasko tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross.  
Maroon is looking to close the distance.  Maroon sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but  throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Maroon time to recover.

Stasko is looking to keep his distance.  Stasko sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Stasko tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.

Maroon manouvers Stasko onto the ropes.  Maroon digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Stasko lands an overhand right.  
Maroon lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Maroon gets on the inside and forces Stasko to back into a neutral corner.  Maroon attempts to land a left hook, but Stasko blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Stasko switches the action to the outside and tries to land a jab, but Maroon slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Maroon connects with a cross.  
Stasko tries to step out of his opponents range.  Stasko feints a cross, and then tries to land a jab, but Maroon parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Stasko's body.  
Maroon feints a left, and then lands a left hook.  
Stasko tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.

Maroon digs in a right uppercut to Stasko's body.  
Maroon throws a left uppercut, but is not on target.  Maroon ties up his opponent.  Stasko is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Maroon is on target with a right hook to Stasko's body.  Maroon clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Stasko pushes his forearm into Maroon's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Maroon lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.
