Boxing Daily Report from the Africa Boxing Championships 2040,  taking place on 09/01/2040 from Nairobi, Kenya:

The Nairobi venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Khalid Fahmy (24(8) - 14) who hails from Giza, Egypt and Ian Afenynu(34(11) - 15(1)) from Tamale, Ghana.  

Round 1: 

Fahmy lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.

Afenynu sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Fahmy is on target with a left hook to Afenynu's ribs.

Afenynu lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Fahmy steps inside.  Afenynu lands a solid left uppercut.  
Fahmy lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Afenynu tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Fahmy gets on the inside and is on target with a sharp right hook to Afenynu's body.  Afenynu clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Afenynu pushes his forearm into Fahmy's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Afenynu.
