Guillermo Blas vs Max Manglapus

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 10/01/2040 from Ponce, Puerto Rico:

The Ponce venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Guillermo Blas (14 - 1) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Max Manglapus(1 - 0) from Cabuyao, Philippines.  

Round 1: 

Blas finds the target with a jab.  
Blas lands a stinging jab.  
Manglapus closes the distance.  Blas lands a left hook.  
Blas is on target with a jab.  
Blas lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a jab to the body.

Manglapus advances into close range.  Blas lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Blas is looking to keep his distance and connects with a cross.  
Manglapus steps inside.  Blas lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Blas digs in a solid left hook to Manglapus's liver.  
Blas lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  Blas attempts to land a cross, but Manglapus slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Blas switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Manglapus pivots to the side of his opponent, but Blas lands a right hook to the body, a jab to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  
Blas lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Blas tries to keep the action at long range.  Manglapus hits home with an overhand right.  Manglapus attempts to land an overhand left, but Blas blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Blas is on target with a cross to his opponents body.  
Blas lands a jab to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Blas steps away from his opponent and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Blas lands a cross, overhand left and a cross to his opponents head.  
Blas lands a stinging jab.  
Manglapus throws a right uppercut, but Blas clinches his opponent.  Manglapus is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Manglapus attempts to land a left uppercut, but Blas slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Manglapus advances into close range.  Blas connects with a left hook.  
Manglapus pivots to the right of his opponent, but Blas is on target with a left hook to Manglapus's body.
