Richard Johnstone vs Claudius Gehres

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 14/02/2040 from Nassau, Bahamas:

The Nassau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Richard Johnstone (38 - 8) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Claudius Gehres(1 - 3) from Chemnitz, Germany.  

Round 1: 

Johnstone is looking to close the distance and hits home with a solid right uppercut.  
Johnstone quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Johnstone drives a sharp left hook into Gehres's body.

Johnstone lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Gehres connects with a solid right hook.  Johnstone ties up his opponent.  Gehres is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Gehres about fouling.  
Johnstone gets on the inside and walks his opponent into a corner.  Johnstone is on target with a firm right hook.  
Johnstone connects with a cross.  
Johnstone lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Johnstone quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Gehres connects with a left hook.

Gehres hits home with a cross.
