Brett Ruane vs Declan Donald

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 15/02/2040 from Sheffield, UK:

The Sheffield venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Brett Ruane (19 - 6) who hails from Sheffield, UK and Declan Donald(2 - 11) from Huddersfield, UK.  

Round 1: 

Ruane is looking to close the distance.  Ruane pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into Donald's body.

Ruane steps inside.  Ruane pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Ruane gets on the inside.  Ruane pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Donald walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Ruane lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Ruane lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Donald is looking to keep the action on the outside and goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Ruane's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Ruane closes the distance.  Ruane sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Donald attempts to land a right hook, but Ruane blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.

Ruane tries to keep the action at long range and connects with an overhand right.
