Paul Jones vs Asif Jaber

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 18/02/2040 from El Paso, USA:

The El Paso venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Paul Jones (30 - 4) who hails from El Paso, USA and Asif Jaber(3 - 5) from Lincoln, USA.  

Round 1: 

Jones advances into close range.  Jones pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a stinging left uppercut.  
Jones pivots from in front of his opponent, but Jaber is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Jaber lands a right hook.  
Jaber lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Jones tries to step out of his opponents range and drives a ramrod jab into his opponents face.  
Jaber walks his opponent into the red corner.  Jones lands a jab to the body followed by two straights to the head.  
Jones steps to the outside and lands a solid jab.  
Jones gets on the inside.  Jones pivots to the side of his opponent, but Jaber is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Jaber attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Jones time to recover.  
Jaber is looking to close the distance.  Jones is on target with a left hook to Jaber's body.  
Jones sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a cross to his opponents body.  
Jones steps inside.  Jones pivots to the right of his opponent, but  throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Jones to the neutral corner.  He tells Jaber he will lose a point if he continues to foul.  
Jaber sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Jones steps away from his opponent and lands a jab.  
Jones steps to the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Jones throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Jones cuts off the ring, trapping Jaber on the ropes.  Jones pivots to the side of his opponent, but Jaber lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Jones steps to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Jones advances into close range and connects with a sharp left uppercut.

Jones forces Jaber to retreat onto the ropes.  Jones lands a left hook.
