Boxing Daily Report from the Jamaica National Finals 2040,  taking place on 26/03/2040 from Spanish Town, Jamaica:

The Spanish Town venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ashley Steven (19 - 6) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and Ian Magrum(5 - 12) from Spanish Town, Jamaica.  

Round 1: 

Magrum digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Magrum is on target with a jab.  Magrum throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Steven hits home with a stinging cross.  
Magrum walks Steven onto the ropes.  Steven digs in a firm left hook to Magrum's body.  
Steven lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Steven lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Steven is looking to close the distance.  Steven quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Steven throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Steven ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Steven lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Steven pivots to the side of his opponent, but Magrum digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.

Steven lands a left hook.  Steven clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Magrum pushes his forearm into Steven's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Magrum about fouling.  Steven attempts to land a right hook, but Magrum sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Steven gets on the inside and slams a nasty left hook into his opponents body.  MAGRUM IS HURT!  Magrum recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Steven hits home with a right hook.  Steven tries to land a right hook, but Magrum slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Magrum switches the action to the outside.  Steven lands a straight 1 - 2.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Steven's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.
