Mark Michie vs Paul Gilmer

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 04/04/2040 from San Antonio, USA:

The San Antonio venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mark Michie (58 - 8) who hails from Houston, USA and Paul Gilmer(2 - 16(1)) from Honolulu, USA.  

Round 1: 

Michie advances into close range and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Gilmer steps to the outside and tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Gilmer's body.

Gilmer gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but Michie holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Michie pushes his forearm into Gilmer's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Michie connects with a left hook.  Michie clinches his opponent.  Michie hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Michie to stop fouling.  
Michie is on target with a sharp jab.  
Michie gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Gilmer throws a left hook, but Michie holds on to his opponent.  Michie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
