Joaquin Solorzano vs Juan Carolus

Boxing Daily Report from the Nicaragua National Finals 2040,  taking place on 14/04/2040 from Masaya, Nicaragua:

The Masaya venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Bantamweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Joaquin Solorzano (15(5) - 3) who hails from Masaya, Nicaragua and Juan Carolus(19 - 10) from Tipitapa, Nicaragua.  

Round 1:

Solorzano quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Carolus finds the target with a jab.  
Carolus pivots to the right of his opponent.  Carolus lands a sharp left hook.  Carolus attempts to land a right hook, but Solorzano blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Carolus steps inside.  Carolus lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Carolus pivots to the right of his opponent and goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Solorzano time to recover.

Solorzano steps to the outside.  Solorzano feints a jab, tricking Carolus into throwing a left hook counter.  Solorzano is waiting for the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Carolus closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Carolus pivots to the right of his opponent, but Solorzano drives a firm left uppercut into Carolus's ribs.  
Carolus pivots to the left of his opponent, but Solorzano is on target with a right hook.  
Solorzano is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands with a ramrod jab.
