Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 30/04/2040 from Mexico City, Mexico:

The Mexico City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Quiqui Cobarrubias (59 - 10) who hails from Mexico City, Mexico and Chris Tejada(1 - 1) from Davao City, Philippines.  

Round 1: 

Cobarrubias feints a right hook, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.

Tejada walks Cobarrubias down, trapping him on the ropes.  Tejada throws a right uppercut, but Cobarrubias ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Tejada pushes his forearm into Cobarrubias's face.  The referee warns Tejada and breaks the clinch.  
Cobarrubias lands a left hook.  
Cobarrubias strikes his opponents body with a solid jab.  
Tejada connects with a cross.  
Tejada tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Tejada is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.

Cobarrubias sidesteps to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a solid jab.

The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Cobarrubias goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Tejada's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
