Gabriel Grom vs Hogarth Weberg

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 06/07/2040 from Oslo, Norway:

The Oslo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Gabriel Grom (3 - 6(1)) who hails from Poznan, Poland and Hogarth Weberg(22 - 29(1)) from Oslo, Norway.  

Round 1: 

Grom is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Grom sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Weberg lands an overhand left.  
Weberg sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Grom digs in a left hook to Weberg's liver.  
Weberg closes the distance.  Weberg sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Grom connects with a left hook.  
Weberg digs in a right hook to Grom's body.  
Weberg pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Weberg lands a left hook.  
Weberg cuts off the ring, trapping Grom in a corner.  Weberg lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Grom is on target with a left hook to Weberg's body.  
Grom is on target with a left hook to Weberg's liver.  
Weberg advances into close range and is on target with a firm right hook to Grom's ribs.  Weberg holds on to his opponent.  Weberg hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Weberg is looking to close the distance and hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Grom lands a cross.  
Weberg is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Weberg forces Grom to back into the red corner.  Weberg hits home with a left hook.

Weberg pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a firm left hook.

Weberg pivots to the side of his opponent.  Grom throws a left hook, but Weberg ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Weberg pushes his forearm into Grom's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Weberg about fouling.  
Weberg quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Grom digs in a right hook to Weberg's body.  
Weberg pivots to the left of his opponent and digs in a stinging left hook to Grom's liver.  
Weberg feints a left hook, but Grom does not fall for it and lands with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Weberg's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Weberg contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Grom lands a stiff jab.  
Weberg feints a left hook, and then lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Weberg knows Grom is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Weberg lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, DROPPING GROM TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Grom now seems to have his senses back.  
Grom lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Weberg connects with a cross.  
Grom is on target with an overhand right.  
Weberg lands an overhand right followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Weberg is on target with a cross.  
Weberg circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Grom lands a cross.  
Grom sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Weberg connects with an overhand left.  
Weberg sidesteps to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Weberg feints a jab, fooling Grom into launching a right hook counter.  Weberg springs the trap and counters with  a right uppercut.  
Weberg feints a jab, and then lands a cross.  
Weberg is on target with a jab to Grom's body.  
Weberg sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab, overhand left and a jab to his opponents head.  
Weberg hits home with a stinging cross.  
Weberg lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Weberg lands a jab to Grom's body.  
Weberg lands a sharp jab.  
Weberg lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Weberg feints a cross, but Grom is not fooled and lands with a cross.  
Grom throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Grom's body.

Grom pivots to the left of his opponent, but Weberg lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Weberg lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Weberg is looking to keep his distance.  Weberg stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Weberg crashes a spiteful left uppercut to his opponents body.  GROM IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Weberg lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS GROM SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Weberg!
