Valentino Argan vs Antonio Cruz

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 31/07/2040 from Bologna, Italy:

The Bologna venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Valentino Argan (14 - 2) who hails from Bologna, Italy and Antonio Cruz(1 - 4) from Havana, Cuba.  

Round 1: 

Cruz sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cruz throws an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Argan gets on the inside and drives a right hook into Cruz's body.  
Argan drives a left uppercut into Cruz's body.  
Argan lands a jab.  
Argan steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Argan snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.  
Cruz steps to the outside and attempts to land an overhand right, but Argan blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Argan gets on the inside.  Argan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Argan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Argan is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.

Cruz tries to land a right uppercut, but Argan blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Argan drives a left hook into Cruz's body.  Argan holds on to his opponent.  Argan tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Cruz behind the head. Cruz is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Argan hits home with a left uppercut.  
Cruz throws a right uppercut, but Argan clinches his opponent.  Argan pushes his forearm into Cruz's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Argan advances into close range and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DROPS CRUZ!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Argan hits home with a right hook.  Argan clinches his opponent.  Argan is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  Argan tries to land a right hook, but Cruz blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cruz throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a spiteful left uppercut to Cruz's body.  DOWN GOES CRUZ!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Argan senses Cruz is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Argan lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS CRUZ SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like Cruz has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Argan's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win. Cruz's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!
