Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 14/08/2040 from Ponce, Puerto Rico:

The Ponce venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Carlos Platero (40 - 5) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Ignado Cobos(10 - 11) from San Juan, Puerto Rico.  

Round 1: 

Platero lands an overhand left to the head followed by a jab to the body.

Platero backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Cobos steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Cobos connects with a right hook.  
Platero lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Platero hits home with a cross.  
Platero lands a stinging cross.  
Platero steps away from his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.

Cobos tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.
