Roger Gibson vs Mick Noronen

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 15/09/2040 from Shreveport, USA:

The Shreveport venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Roger Gibson (47(4) - 22) who hails from New Orleans, USA and Mick Noronen(0 - 4) from Warren, USA.  

Round 1: 

Gibson lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Gibson connects with a left hook.  
Gibson steps inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Gibson lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Noronen lands a jab.  
Noronen is on target with a jab.  
Gibson drives a firm right uppercut into Noronen's ribcage.  
Gibson lands a left hook.  
Noronen lands a cross.  Noronen tries to land a jab, but Gibson sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gibson closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Gibson digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Noronen lands with a solid jab.  Noronen throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Noronen drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Gibson advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Noronen tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.

Gibson lands with a stinging jab.  
Noronen is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a jab to Gibson's body.  
Gibson advances into close range and drives a left hook into Noronen's ribs.

Round 3: 

Noronen sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Gibson advances into close range and throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Gibson is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Gibson holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Gibson pushes his forearm into Noronen's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Gibson.  
Gibson senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Gibson drives a potent right uppercut into his opponents body.  NORONEN IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Noronen now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Gibson is looking to close the distance.  Gibson sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gibson hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  Gibson clinches his opponent.  Gibson leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Noronen sidesteps to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Gibson lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Some sustained pressure from Gibson could be enough to finish Noronen!  Gibson whips in a spiteful right uppercut to his opponents body.  NORONEN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Gibson lands a right uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the body, AND KNOCKS NORONEN DOWN!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Noronen can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Gibson!
