Leon Hance vs Geoff McNelley

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 27/09/2040 from Brisbane, Australia:

The Brisbane venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Leon Hance (76(44) - 10) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Geoff McNelley(3 - 18(1)) from Melbourne, Australia.  

Round 1: 

Hance lands a jab to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
McNelley steps inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
McNelley forces Hance to back into the ropes.  McNelley throws a right hook, but Hance ties up his opponent.  McNelley leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. McNelley tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Hance's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns McNelley to stop fouling.

McNelley advances into close range.  Hance lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Hance lands a firm left hook.  
Hance digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  Hance holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Hance pushes his forearm into McNelley's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Hance.  
Hance digs in a solid left hook to McNelley's ribs.  
McNelley lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Hance hits home with a cross.  
McNelley throws a left hook, but Hance ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Hance closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
McNelley is on target with a left hook.  Hance ties up his opponent.  McNelley tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Hance behind the head. Hance leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Hance's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
McNelley throws a left uppercut, but Hance holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks Hance's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
McNelley throws a right hook, but Hance clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks Hance's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Hance quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a firm right hook into McNelley's ribs.  
Hance sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Hance is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  Hance clinches his opponent.  Hance leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Hance uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits McNelley behind the head. The ref breaks Hance's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Hance finds the target with a jab.  
Hance steps inside and digs in a sharp right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Hance digs in a potent left hook to McNelley's body.  MCNELLEY HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Hance lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McNelley attempts to land a left uppercut, but Hance blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Hance lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Hance is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Hance EXPLODES a VICIOUS right hook into his opponents face.  MCNELLEY IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE REMAINS ON THE CANVAS AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Hance!
