Neper Pimenta vs Gareth Wightman

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 31/10/2040 from Duque de Cazias, Brazil:

The Duque de Cazias venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Neper Pimenta (14 - 11) who hails from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Gareth Wightman(0 - 1) from Auckland, New Zealand.  

Round 1: 

Wightman gets on the inside and walks Pimenta down, trapping him on the ropes.  Pimenta lands a firm left hook.  
Wightman pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Wightman lands a right hook.  
Pimenta switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Pimenta quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab to the head, a jab to the body and a cross to the head.  
Pimenta finds the target with a jab.  
Pimenta feints a left hook, and then hits the target with a spiteful jab.  
Wightman lands a cross.  
Wightman forces Pimenta to back into the ropes.  Pimenta lands a stiff jab.  
Pimenta is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a stinging jab.

Wightman attempts to land a jab, but Pimenta slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Wightman is looking to close the distance and tries to land a right uppercut, but Pimenta slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Pimenta switches the action to the outside.  Wightman hits home with a cross.  
Wightman lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Wightman pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.  
Wightman gets on the inside.  Pimenta lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.
