Mark Wayson vs Muntazir Nuriev

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 06/12/2040 from Quebec City, Canada:

The Quebec City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mark Wayson (1 - 1) who hails from Laval, Canada and Muntazir Nuriev(1 - 2) from Samarqand, Uzbekistan.  

Round 1: 

Nuriev closes the distance.  Wayson hits home with a firm left hook.  
Wayson attempts to land a jab, but Nuriev slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Wayson's body.

Wayson steps to the outside.  Wayson sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a ramrod jab into his opponents face.  
Wayson switches the action to the outside and snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.  
Nuriev steps inside.  Wayson throws a right hook, but is off-target.  Wayson holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Nuriev pushes his forearm into Wayson's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Nuriev to stop fouling.  
Wayson finds the target with a jab.  
Nuriev steps inside.  Wayson throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Wayson switches the action to the outside and snaps his opponents head back with a solid jab.  
Nuriev is looking to close the distance and walks Wayson down, trapping him on the ropes.  Nuriev pivots to the side of his opponent.  Nuriev hits home with a sharp right hook.  Wayson clinches his opponent.  Nuriev leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Wayson steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Nuriev quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Wayson lands a right uppercut to the body, a jab to the head and a right hook to the head.

Nuriev tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.
