Vidal Beltran vs Leighton Wandag

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 14/12/2040 from Havana, Cuba:

The Havana venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Vidal Beltran (15 - 6) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Leighton Wandag(1 - 4(1)) from Dasmarinas, Philippines.  

Round 1: 

Beltran lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Beltran hits home with a cross.  
Wandag lands a jab.  
Wandag is looking to close the distance.  Wandag sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Wandag throws a right hook, but Beltran ties up his opponent.  Beltran pushes his forearm into Wandag's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Beltran to stop fouling.  
Wandag forces Beltran to retreat onto the ropes.  Wandag tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.  
Wandag is looking to close the distance.  Beltran lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

Wandag steps inside.  Beltran throws a left hook, but is off-target.  Beltran clinches his opponent.  Beltran leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Beltran's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Wandag walks Beltran down, trapping him on the ropes.  Wandag throws a right hook, but Beltran clinches his opponent.  Beltran is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Beltran pushes his forearm into Wandag's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Beltran to stop fouling.
