Leon Hance vs Mark Maniatis

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 19/12/2040 from Brisbane, Australia:

The Brisbane venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Leon Hance (79(47) - 10) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Mark Maniatis(2 - 1) from Sydney, Australia.  

Round 1: 

Hance lands a ramrod jab.  
Hance advances into close range.  Maniatis throws a left hook, but Hance ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Hance pushes his forearm into Maniatis's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Hance.

Maniatis sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Maniatis attempts to land a cross, but Hance parries the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Maniatis sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Hance advances into close range.  Maniatis throws a left uppercut, but Hance holds on to his opponent.  Hance tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Maniatis behind the head. 
Hance connects with a solid cross.  
Hance walks Maniatis down, trapping him on the ropes.  Maniatis lands a right hook.  
Hance lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Hance clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Maniatis recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Maniatis tries to land a left hook, but Hance dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Hance lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND DROPS MANIATIS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Hance is on target with a firm right uppercut.  
Hance advances into close range.  Maniatis attempts to land a left hook, but Hance sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Hance drives a solid left hook into Maniatis's ribs.  
Hance lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Hance lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Hance digs in a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  It looks like Maniatis has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Hance is on target with a right hook.  
Maniatis lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

Maniatis throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Hance lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Maniatis is on target with a cross.  Maniatis throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Maniatis connects with a left hook.  
Hance lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Hance lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Hance senses Maniatis is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Hance whips in a mean right uppercut to Maniatis's ribs.  MANIATIS IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  It looks like Maniatis has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Hance advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Hance thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Maniatis away.  Hance lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND MANIATIS IS DOWN!  The ref immediately waves off the fight...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Hance!
