Goro Tanaka vs Yuichi Fukuhara

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 23/12/2040 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Goro Tanaka (26 - 9) who hails from Machida, Japan and Yuichi Fukuhara(1 - 1) from Sendai, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Tanaka quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Fukuhara closes the distance.  Fukuhara attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Tanaka's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Tanaka quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Fukuhara gets on the inside and manouvers Tanaka onto the ropes.  Tanaka hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Fukuhara is looking to close the distance.  Tanaka lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Tanaka is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Tanaka sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Fukuhara lands a cross.  
Tanaka lands a firm left uppercut.  
Tanaka is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Fukuhara steps inside and lands a left uppercut.  
Tanaka hits the target with a sharp jab.

Tanaka tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Fukuhara is looking to close the distance.  Fukuhara pivots to the left of his opponent.  Tanaka throws a right uppercut, but is off-target.  Tanaka ties up his opponent.  Fukuhara is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Fukuhara pivots to the left of his opponent, but Tanaka is on target with a right uppercut.  
Tanaka lands a spiteful jab.  
Tanaka hits home with a sharp cross.  
Fukuhara is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Tanaka drives a left hook into his opponents body.
