Peter Jerden vs Patrick Hughes

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 09/01/2041 from Los Angeles, USA:

The Los Angeles venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Peter Jerden (54 - 10) who hails from Santa Ana, USA and Patrick Hughes(1 - 5) from Miami, USA.  

Round 1: 

Hughes is on target with a cross.  
Jerden advances into close range.  Jerden pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Jerden pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to Hughes's body.  
Jerden walks Hughes down, trapping him on the ropes.  Jerden pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Jerden pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Jerden drives a solid left hook into his opponents liver.  
Jerden retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Hughes is whaling away with hooks, but Jerden keeps his defence tight.  Hughes lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Jerden gets on the inside.  Hughes pivots to the right of his opponent.  Hughes throws a right uppercut, but Jerden holds on to his opponent.  Jerden hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Jerden pushes his forearm into Hughes's face.  The ref breaks Jerden's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Jerden digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Hughes pivots to the left of his opponent, but Jerden lands a sharp cross.  
Jerden lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Jerden lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Hughes steps to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Jerden throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Jerden clinches his opponent.  Jerden throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Jerden about fouling.  
Jerden lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Jerden clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Hughes pushes his forearm into Jerden's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Jerden connects with a firm right hook.  
Jerden closes the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Hughes sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Jerden crashes a nasty left hook to his opponents liver.  HUGHES IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Jerden ties up his opponent.  Jerden pushes his forearm into Hughes's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Jerden about fouling.  
Jerden connects with a right hook.  
Jerden lands a stinging left hook.  
Jerden lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hughes quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a spiteful jab.

Jerden lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Jerden lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Jerden lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Hughes tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a cross.  
Jerden lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Hughes pivots to the side of his opponent and snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Jerden lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Hughes pivots to the side of his opponent, but Jerden lands a jab to the head, a right hook to the body and a cross to the head.  
Jerden lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Hughes connects with a cross.  Hughes attempts to land a cross, but Jerden sidesteps and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Jerden advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Jerden drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE HUGHES WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Jerden clinches his opponent.  Jerden tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Hughes's kidney. Jerden throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Jerden is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Jerden lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He then lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS HUGHES SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  
Jerden lands a right hook.  
Jerden is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Jerden lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS HUGHES SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Hughes cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Jerden!
