Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 24/01/2041 from Brighton and Hove, UK:

The Brighton and Hove venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Joey Jones (7 - 11(1)) who hails from London, UK and Darryl Meggett(0 - 2) from Leeds, UK.  

Round 1: 

Meggett digs in a right hook to Jones's body.

Meggett gets on the inside.  Jones lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Jones ties up his opponent.  Jones uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Meggett behind the head. Meggett leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Jones pushes his forearm into Meggett's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Jones to stop fouling.  
Jones tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Meggett advances into close range.  Meggett pivots to the side of his opponent, but Jones lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Jones steps inside.  Meggett throws a left hook, but Jones ties up his opponent.  Jones leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Jones pushes his forearm into Meggett's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Jones about fouling.  
Jones steps away from his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Jones hits home with a cross.  
Meggett drives a left hook into Jones's body.  
Jones lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Jones attempts to land a jab, but Meggett sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Jones steps to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Meggett gets on the inside.  Meggett attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Jones time to recover.  
Jones steps away from his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Meggett steps inside.  Jones is on target with a left hook.  Jones ties up his opponent.  Meggett is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Meggett.
