Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 07/02/2041 from Los Angeles, USA:

The Los Angeles venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Peter Jerden (55(1) - 10) who hails from Santa Ana, USA and Chris Clanahan(1 - 7) from Montgomery, USA.  

Round 1: 

Jerden is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into Clanahan's ribs.  
Jerden drives a stinging right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Clanahan throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.

Jerden gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Jerden drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  
Jerden is on target with a jab.  
Jerden is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Jerden steps inside and hits home with a solid right hook.  Jerden clinches his opponent.  Jerden leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Clanahan finds the target with a jab.

Clanahan throws a right hook, but Jerden ties up his opponent.  Jerden leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Jerden is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Jerden drives a firm left hook into his opponents liver.  
Clanahan pivots to the right of his opponent, but Jerden lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Jerden's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.
