Ming Qi vs Chung Liao

Boxing Daily Report from the China National Finals 2041,  taking place on 11/03/2041 from Nanchong, China:

The Nanchong venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ming Qi (14 - 7(2)) who hails from Wuhan, China and Chung Liao(31 - 14) from Shanghai, China.  

Round 1: 

Liao advances into close range.  Qi drives a sharp left hook into Liao's body.  
Qi sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Qi lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Liao attempts to land a jab, but Qi sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Qi steps to the outside.  Qi drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Liao attempts to land a jab, but Qi slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Qi tries to keep the action at long range.  Qi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Liao is on target with a firm cross.  
Liao gets on the inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Qi lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Liao sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Qi lands a jab.  
Liao gets on the inside.  Qi lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Liao manages to force Qi onto the ropes.  Liao pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Liao gets on the inside.  Qi drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Liao pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Qi tries to land a right uppercut, but Liao sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Qi is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Liao closes the distance.  Qi lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Liao manouvers Qi onto the ropes.  Qi is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Qi lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Qi lands a straight 1 - 2.  He continues the combination and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Qi lands two straights to the body, and one to the head.  
Qi lands a solid cross.

Liao closes the distance.  Qi lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Liao manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Liao quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Liao tries to land a right hook, but Qi sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.  
Qi switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left.  
Liao closes the distance.  Liao quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Qi throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Qi clinches his opponent.  Liao uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Qi behind the head. Liao is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Liao connects with a right uppercut.  
Qi is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right to the head, a cross to the body and a cross to the head.  
Liao steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Qi lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Liao gets on the inside and manouvers Qi onto the ropes.  Liao lands a right hook.  
Qi tries to keep the action at long range.  Qi contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Liao throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Liao advances into close range and throws a right hook, but Qi ties up his opponent.  Qi leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Qi pushes his forearm into Liao's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Qi.  
Qi lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Qi lands a stiff jab.  
Qi is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Qi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Liao closes the distance.  Qi lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND LIAO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Qi!
