Brett Ruane vs Gordon McBurnie

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 14/03/2041 from Sheffield, UK:

The Sheffield venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Brett Ruane (33 - 7) who hails from Sheffield, UK and Gordon McBurnie(1 - 4) from Blackburn, UK.  

Round 1: 

McBurnie feints a cross, but Ruane does not fall for it and is on target with a solid left uppercut.

Ruane gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  
McBurnie tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Ruane is looking to close the distance and manages to force McBurnie into a corner.  Ruane connects with a firm left hook.  
Ruane connects with a left uppercut.  
Ruane pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Ruane lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Ruane closes the distance.  Ruane pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
McBurnie feints a left hook, but Ruane ignores the feint and lands with a right uppercut.

Ruane feints a jab, tricking McBurnie into countering with a left hook.  Ruane springs the trap and counters with  a stinging right hook.  
McBurnie tries to step out of his opponents range.  McBurnie circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Ruane hits home with a firm overhand right.  
Ruane manouvers McBurnie onto the ropes.  McBurnie lands a right hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ruane lands a jab.  Ruane goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores McBurnie's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Ruane contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  McBurnie tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
McBurnie lands a left uppercut.  
Ruane is on target with a stinging cross.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...McBurnie's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!
