Steven Gubay vs Rob Magee

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 03/04/2041 from Houston, USA:

The Houston venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Steven Gubay (1 - 4) who hails from Houston, USA and Rob Magee(1 - 7) from New York City, USA.  

Round 1: 

Gubay switches the action to the outside.  Magee tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Gubay quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Gubay steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Gubay digs in a right hook to Magee's body.  
Gubay is on target with a jab to Magee's body.  
Magee throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Gubay switches the action to the outside and connects with a stinging overhand right.  
Magee lands a left hook.  
Gubay is on target with an overhand right.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gubay's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Magee advances into close range.  Gubay lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Magee sidesteps to the right of his opponent and goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Gubay's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Gubay throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gubay is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a cross to Magee's body.  
Magee attempts to land a cross, but Gubay slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Magee's ribcage.
