Gig Sotelo vs Ethan Verne

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 11/04/2041 from San Miguelito, Panama:

The San Miguelito venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Gig Sotelo (44 - 10) who hails from Panama City, Panama and Ethan Verne(1 - 19) from London, UK.  

Round 1: 

Sotelo lands a cross.

Verne forces Sotelo to retreat onto the ropes.  Verne quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Sotelo advances into close range and throws a right hook, but is off-target.  Sotelo ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Sotelo pushes his forearm into Verne's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Sotelo goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Verne's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
