Boxing Daily Report from the Zimbabwe National Finals 2041,  taking place on 26/04/2041 from Harare, Zimbabwe:

The Harare venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jake Visagie (1 - 1) who hails from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe and Kwamin Gappah(2 - 0) from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  

Round 1: 

Visagie is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab.  Visagie tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Gappah advances into close range and walks Visagie down, trapping him in a corner.  Gappah lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Gappah digs in a solid left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  Gappah ties up his opponent.  Gappah is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gappah is on target with a right hook.  
Gappah lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Gappah manouvers Visagie onto the ropes.  Gappah lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Gappah ties up his opponent.  Visagie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gappah drives a left hook into Visagie's ribs.  
Visagie throws a right hook, but Gappah clinches his opponent.  Gappah hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Gappah lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.

Gappah drives a left hook into Visagie's ribs.  
Gappah lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Visagie is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Gappah advances into close range and crashes a big right hook to his opponents ribcage.  IT LOOKS LIKE VISAGIE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Visagie quickly recovers.

Gappah closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES VISAGIE!  He is back up on his feet at 4.

Gappah lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Gappah holds on to his opponent.  Gappah is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Gappah lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Visagie switches the action to the outside.  Gappah lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.

Visagie steps away from his opponent.  Visagie quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a sharp jab.  
Gappah drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.

Gappah crashes a mean left hook to his opponents ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE VISAGIE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Visagie quickly recovers. 
Gappah steps inside and is on target with a stinging left hook to Visagie's body.  Gappah clinches his opponent.  Gappah pushes his forearm into Visagie's face.  The ref breaks Gappah's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Gappah lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Gappah lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Visagie almost instantly recovers. 
Gappah lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Visagie's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

Gappah lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, DROPPING VISAGIE TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Gappah!
