Diego Cava vs Boris Aplocinsh

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 09/06/2041 from San Miguelito, Panama:

The San Miguelito venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Diego Cava (45 - 14) who hails from Panama City, Panama and Boris Aplocinsh(1 - 3) from Riga, Latvia.  

Round 1: 

Cava advances into close range and connects with a sharp right hook.  
Cava connects with a stinging cross.  
Cava hits home with a right hook.  
Aplocinsh lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cava hits home with a cross.  
Cava is on target with a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  
Aplocinsh is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Cava is on target with a left hook.  
Cava connects with a cross.  
Cava digs in a sharp left uppercut to Aplocinsh's body.  
Cava closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Cava lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Cava ties up his opponent.  Aplocinsh leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Cava's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Cava lands a right hook.  
Cava cuts off the ring, trapping Aplocinsh on the ropes.  Cava lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Cava stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Cava lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  Aplocinsh now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Aplocinsh stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Cava lands with a stinging jab.  
Cava advances into close range.  Cava sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Aplocinsh throws a left uppercut, but Cava holds on to his opponent.  Cava uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Aplocinsh behind the head. As they grapple, Cava pushes his forearm into Aplocinsh's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Aplocinsh tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Cava walks Aplocinsh down, trapping him in the corner.  Cava lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  Cava ties up his opponent.  Cava pushes his forearm into Aplocinsh's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Cava hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Cava steps inside.  Cava sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a powerful right hook into his opponents ribcage.  IT LOOKS LIKE APLOCINSH WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Aplocinsh almost instantly recovers. 
Aplocinsh tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land a jab, but Cava dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Aplocinsh hits home with a cross.  
Cava closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Cava ties up his opponent.  Aplocinsh tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Cava behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Aplocinsh.  
Cava throws a right hook, but is off-target.  Cava ties up his opponent.  Aplocinsh pushes his forearm into Cava's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Aplocinsh to stop fouling.  
Cava lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Cava pivots to the side of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Cava gets on the inside.  Aplocinsh throws a right hook, but Cava ties up his opponent.  Cava pushes his forearm into Aplocinsh's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Cava.  
Aplocinsh switches the action to the outside.  Cava lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Aplocinsh's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

It looks like Aplocinsh has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Cava is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  Cava ties up his opponent.  Aplocinsh leans on his opponent using all his weight. Cava uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Aplocinsh behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.
