Jose Banez vs Corey Malpass

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 15/06/2041 from Tampa, USA:

The Tampa venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jose Banez (15 - 6) who hails from Tampa, USA and Corey Malpass(0 - 8(2)) from Lafayette, USA.

Banez advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Malpass attempts to land a right hook, but Banez sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Banez pivots to the left of his opponent.  Malpass throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Banez pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Banez closes the distance.  Banez pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a sharp left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Banez voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Malpass tries to tag Banez on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Banez lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Banez lands a right hook.  
Malpass is looking to keep his distance.  Banez lands a cross.  
Banez lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Banez closes the distance.  Malpass sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Banez digs in a right hook to Malpass's ribcage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Banez's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.
