Diego Alatorre vs Gig Luque

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 30/07/2041 from Tijuana, Mexico:

The Tijuana venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Diego Alatorre (33 - 5) who hails from Tijuana, Mexico and Gig Luque(1 - 15) from Juarez, Mexico.  

Round 1: 

Luque pivots to the side of his opponent.  Luque tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Luque throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Alatorre gets on the inside.  Alatorre pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.

Alatorre advances into close range.  Alatorre pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Alatorre lands a cross to the head, a jab to the body and a jab to the head.  
Alatorre closes the distance and is on target with a solid right hook.  
Alatorre walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Alatorre pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Alatorre digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Alatorre sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribcage.  Alatorre throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Luque time to recover.  
Luque switches the action to the outside and strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Alatorre is looking to close the distance.  Luque throws a left hook, but Alatorre holds on to his opponent.  Luque leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Alatorre pivots from in front of his opponent.  Alatorre lands a left hook.  Alatorre clinches his opponent.  Alatorre leans on his opponent using all his weight. Luque pushes his forearm into Alatorre's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Luque to stop fouling.  
Alatorre walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Alatorre quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Alatorre closes the distance and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Alatorre hits home with a spiteful jab.  
Luque steps to the outside and strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Alatorre forces Luque to back into the ropes.  Alatorre lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Alatorre's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight. Luque's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!
