Neper Pimenta vs Gareth Wightman

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 14/11/2041 from Duque de Cazias, Brazil:

The Duque de Cazias venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Neper Pimenta (28 - 11) who hails from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Gareth Wightman(3 - 23) from Auckland, New Zealand.  

Round 1: 

Pimenta pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.  
Wightman is on target with a sharp cross.  
Pimenta feints a right hook, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Wightman gets on the inside.  Pimenta lands a right hook, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Wightman walks his opponent down, trapping him in the red corner.  Wightman is on target with a cross.  
Wightman lands a cross.  
Wightman hits home with a right hook.  
Pimenta is looking to keep his distance.  Pimenta contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Wightman lands a cross.

Pimenta is looking to keep his distance.  Wightman lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Wightman is looking to close the distance and forces Pimenta to retreat onto the ropes.  Pimenta drives a left hook into Wightman's liver.  Pimenta attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Wightman time to recover.  
Pimenta is on target with a jab.  
Pimenta lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Pimenta feints a jab, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Pimenta tries to keep the action at long range and snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.
