Mikio Matsuo vs Kyo Uehara

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 11/12/2041 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mikio Matsuo (36 - 13) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Kyo Uehara(1 - 4) from Osaka, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Uehara feints a cross, and then lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Uehara pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Matsuo is on target with a firm cross.  
Uehara attempts to land a jab, but Matsuo blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Matsuo tries to step out of his opponents range.  Matsuo feints a jab, and then attempts to land a cross, but Uehara slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Matsuo is looking to close the distance and digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Uehara is on target with a left uppercut.  
Matsuo is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a sharp overhand left.  
Matsuo closes the distance.  Uehara throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Matsuo tries to keep the action at long range and throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Uehara pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a jab.

Uehara pivots to the side of his opponent, but Matsuo lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Uehara walks Matsuo onto the ropes.  Uehara feints a cross, and then is on target with a jab.  
Uehara lands a right hook.  
Matsuo closes the distance.  Uehara throws a left hook, but Matsuo holds on to his opponent.  Uehara hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Matsuo is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a stinging jab.  
Matsuo switches the action to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Uehara pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Matsuo's ribs.  
Uehara lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Matsuo tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Matsuo steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Matsuo closes the distance and lands a stinging right hook.  
Matsuo switches the action to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Uehara's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

Matsuo steps to the outside.  Uehara throws a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Uehara pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a solid jab.  
Uehara manages to force Matsuo into the red corner.  Matsuo throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Uehara's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Uehara walks Matsuo down, trapping him on the ropes.  Uehara pivots to the side of his opponent.  Uehara drives a firm left uppercut into Matsuo's body.  Uehara throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Matsuo steps away from his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Matsuo hits home with a stinging overhand right.  
Matsuo steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Matsuo clinches his opponent.  Matsuo uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Uehara behind the head. As they grapple, Matsuo pushes his forearm into Uehara's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Matsuo about fouling.
