Akbar Apte vs Danny Murphy

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 20/12/2041 from New Delhi, India:

The New Delhi venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Akbar Apte (34 - 5) who hails from New Delhi, India and Danny Murphy(2 - 6) from Worcester, USA.  

Round 1: 

Apte lands a cross to his opponents body.  
Apte steps to the outside and hits home with a sharp overhand left.  
Apte feints a jab, and then is on target with a cross to Murphy's body.  Apte attempts to land a right hook, but Murphy sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Apte tries to land a jab, but Murphy blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Murphy is looking to close the distance and forces Apte to retreat onto the ropes.  Apte hits home with a right hook.

Apte switches the action to the outside.  Murphy finds the target with a jab.  
Apte sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a firm cross.  
Apte lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Apte sidesteps to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Apte connects with a cross.

Apte steps to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Apte steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Apte feints a left, and then lands with a spiteful jab.  
Murphy finds the target with a jab.  
Murphy walks Apte into a neutral corner.  Murphy is on target with a right uppercut.  
Apte switches the action to the outside.  Murphy throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Murphy closes the distance and walks Apte down, trapping him on the ropes.  Murphy is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  Apte clinches his opponent.  Apte leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Apte pushes his forearm into Murphy's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Apte.
