Jair Villanueva vs Joaquin Urena

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 06/03/2042 from Havana, Cuba:

The Havana venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jair Villanueva (90(16) - 6(1)) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Joaquin Urena(1 - 8) from Havana, Cuba.  

Round 1: 

Villanueva closes the distance.  Villanueva sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Urena sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Villanueva lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Villanueva gets on the inside.  Villanueva pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Villanueva manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Urena throws a right hook, but Villanueva clinches his opponent.  Urena pushes his forearm into Villanueva's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Urena.  
Villanueva lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Villanueva pivots from in front of his opponent and lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Villanueva senses Urena is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Villanueva lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS URENA SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  It looks like Urena has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Urena is on target with a solid right uppercut.  Villanueva ties up his opponent.  Villanueva tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Urena's kidney. Urena leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Villanueva lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Villanueva retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Urena tries to land a cross, but Villanueva sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Villanueva advances into close range.  Urena throws a right hook, but Villanueva ties up his opponent.  Villanueva pushes his forearm into Urena's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Villanueva.  
Villanueva gets on the inside and hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Urena throws a left hook, but Villanueva ties up his opponent.  Villanueva is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Villanueva's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Villanueva connects with a right hook.  
Villanueva closes the distance.  Urena tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Villanueva hits home with a left hook.  
Villanueva throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Villanueva's body.  
Villanueva gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Villanueva is looking to close the distance.  Urena drives a firm left hook into Villanueva's liver.  Urena tries to land a left hook, but Villanueva slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Villanueva hits home with a left hook.  Villanueva holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks Villanueva's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Villanueva senses Urena is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Villanueva digs in a telling left hook to his opponents body.  DOWN GOES URENA!  He manages to get up at 4.  Urena now seems to have got his legs back.
