Boxing Daily Report from the Australia National Finals 2042,  taking place on 11/03/2042 from Newcastle, Australia:

The Newcastle venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Gethin Elias (9 - 6) who hails from Canberra, Australia and Ramsay Cook(13(4) - 1) from Sunshine Coast, Australia.  

Round 1: 

Cook advances into close range.  Elias attempts to land a left hook, but Cook blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Elias steps away from his opponent.  Cook throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid right uppercut to Cook's ribcage.

Elias tries to keep the action at long range.  Elias sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Cook is on target with a solid cross.  
Elias lands a firm cross.  
Cook advances into close range and lands a solid right hook.  Cook holds on to his opponent.  Cook pushes his forearm into Elias's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Cook hits home with a solid cross.  
Cook is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Elias tries to step out of his opponents range.  Cook lands a stinging overhand right.  
Cook lands a FIERCE cross.  ELIAS IS HURT!  Elias recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Cook advances into close range.  Elias throws a right hook, but Cook holds on to his opponent.  Cook pushes his forearm into Elias's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Cook.  
Elias steps to the outside.  Cook connects with a cross.

Cook lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Elias lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Cook lands a sharp right hook.  Cook attempts to land a left hook, but Elias parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Elias connects with a firm right hook.  Cook holds on to his opponent.  Cook leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Cook lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Elias almost instantly recovers. 
Cook steps inside and lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.

Cook is looking to close the distance and digs in a sharp left hook to Elias's body.  
Cook lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Cook steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Elias in a corner.  Elias throws a left hook, but Cook ties up his opponent.  Elias uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Cook behind the head. Cook leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Elias throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head.

Cook quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Elias throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Cook clinches his opponent.  Cook uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Elias's kidney. 
Cook tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cook hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Cook lands a left hook.  
Elias lands a left hook.  
Cook is on target with a firm right hook to Elias's body.  
Elias is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Cook lands a HUGE overhand left.  ELIAS IS HURT!  Elias almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Cook is looking to close the distance.  Elias connects with a stinging left hook.  
Elias steps away from his opponent.  Cook throws an overhand left, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.
