Amjad Afzal vs Sid Baker

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 13/03/2042 from Sheffield, UK:

The Sheffield venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Amjad Afzal (46 - 7) who hails from Manchester, UK and Sid Baker(0 - 1) from Derby, UK.  

Round 1: 

Baker gets on the inside.  Afzal lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Afzal finds the target with a jab.  
Afzal hits home with a right uppercut.  
Afzal walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Afzal quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Baker gets on the inside.  Afzal throws a right hook, but is not on target.  Afzal clinches his opponent.  Baker leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Baker is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Baker and breaks the clinch.  
Baker steps inside.  Baker sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Afzal throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Afzal clinches his opponent.  Afzal pushes his forearm into Baker's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Afzal.  
Afzal sidesteps to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a hard jab.  
Baker is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but Afzal holds on to his opponent.  Baker leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Afzal's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Baker closes the distance.  Afzal lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Afzal is on target with a stinging right hook.  Afzal attempts to land a jab, but Baker parries the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Afzal quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Afzal attempts to land a jab, but Baker sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Afzal pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Baker steps inside and throws a right hook, but Afzal clinches his opponent.  Baker is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Baker advances into close range and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Afzal retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Baker accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Afzal.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Afzal's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.
