Diego Catalan vs Jair Lucas

Boxing Daily Report from the Colombia National Finals 2042,  taking place on 14/03/2042 from Barranquilla, Colombia:

The Barranquilla venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Diego Catalan (11 - 12(1)) who hails from Medellin, Colombia and Jair Lucas(28(7) - 11(1)) from Bogota, Colombia.

Lucas pivots to the left of his opponent.  Lucas lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Lucas holds on to his opponent.  Catalan tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Lucas's kidney. The ref breaks Lucas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Catalan quickly recovers.

Lucas digs in a potent left hook to his opponents body.  CATALAN IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  
Catalan is looking to keep his distance.  Catalan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a solid overhand right.  
Lucas throws a right hook, but is off-target.  Lucas holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Catalan pushes his forearm into Lucas's face.  The referee warns Catalan and breaks the clinch.  
Lucas drives a stinging left hook into Catalan's body.  
Lucas is looking to close the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Lucas drives a left uppercut into Catalan's body.  
Lucas lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Lucas holds on to his opponent.  Lucas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Lucas tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Catalan behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Catalan almost instantly gets his legs back.

Catalan throws a right hook, but Lucas ties up his opponent.  Catalan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Lucas to stop holding.
