Amjad Afzal vs Davie Gray

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 07/04/2042 from Sheffield, UK:

The Sheffield venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Amjad Afzal (47 - 7) who hails from Manchester, UK and Davie Gray(5 - 13) from Stoke, UK.  

Round 1: 

Afzal tries to keep the action at long range and lands with a sharp jab.  
Gray lands with a spiteful jab.  
Gray lands with a stinging jab.  
Gray gets on the inside and digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents liver.  
Afzal lands a jab.  
Gray lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Gray lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Gray advances into close range and attempts to land a left hook, but Afzal parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Afzal connects with a solid right uppercut.  Afzal clinches his opponent.  Gray tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Afzal behind the head. As they grapple, Gray pushes his forearm into Afzal's face.  The referee warns Gray and breaks the clinch.  
Gray walks Afzal down, trapping him in the corner.  Afzal lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Gray attempts to land a right hook, but Afzal blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Gray closes the distance and tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Afzal steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a jab, but Gray slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Afzal steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Afzal is looking to keep his distance.  Afzal feints a left hook, and then lands a jab.  
Gray lands a stinging jab.  
Afzal is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Afzal lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Gray lands with a ramrod jab.  
Gray gets on the inside and drives a stinging left hook into Afzal's body.  Afzal holds on to his opponent.  Gray throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Gray.  
Gray steps inside.  Afzal lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Afzal pivots to the left of his opponent.  Gray throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Afzal switches the action to the outside and lands with a ramrod jab.  
Gray manages to force Afzal onto the ropes.  Afzal hits home with a right hook.  
Afzal is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Gray is on target with a jab.  
Afzal lands a cross.  
Afzal steps away from his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Gray hits home with a left uppercut.  
Afzal steps away from his opponent.  Afzal quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Gray closes the distance and hits home with a firm left uppercut.  
Afzal steps to the outside.  Afzal feints a left, and then lands a stiff jab.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Afzal's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid. Gray's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

Gray throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut to Gray's body.  
Gray tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Afzal lands a cross, jab and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Afzal connects with a sharp cross.  
Afzal lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Gray gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Gray advances into close range and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Gray throws a right hook, but Afzal ties up his opponent.  Gray uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Afzal's kidney. 
Afzal digs in a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Gray connects with a right hook.  Afzal ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Afzal pushes his forearm into Gray's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Afzal to stop fouling.  
Afzal lands a firm cross.
