Boxing Daily Report from the Peru National Finals 2042,  taking place on 11/04/2042 from Huacho, Peru:

The Huacho venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jaguar Colindres (12 - 13) who hails from Lima, Peru and Joaquin Abrego(26(11) - 26) from Lima, Peru.  

Round 1: 

Abrego gets on the inside.  Abrego sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Colindres throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.  
Colindres lands a double jab to his opponents head.  Colindres attempts to land a cross, but Abrego slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Abrego steps inside.  Abrego quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Abrego is on target with a right hook to Colindres's body.  Abrego tries to land a right hook, but Colindres blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook to Abrego's ribs.  
Abrego lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Colindres steps to the outside.  Abrego connects with a cross.  
Colindres switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.  
Abrego is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Abrego digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Colindres tries to keep the action at long range.  Abrego lands a sharp overhand left.  
Colindres tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Abrego gets on the inside and forces Colindres to retreat into the corner.  Colindres lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Colindres throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Colindres to stop fouling.

Abrego is looking to close the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Colindres on the ropes.  Abrego crashes a mean right hook to his opponents ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE COLINDRES WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Abrego tries to land a left hook, but Colindres sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Abrego stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Abrego lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a cross to the head.  Colindres now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Colindres hits home with a firm left hook.  
Abrego lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Abrego holds on to his opponent.  Abrego uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Colindres's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Colindres steps to the outside.  Abrego hits home with an overhand left.  
Abrego advances into close range and forces Colindres to back into the ropes.  Abrego pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Abrego lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Abrego gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.

Abrego lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body, AND KNOCKS COLINDRES DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  It looks like Colindres has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Colindres tries to step out of his opponents range.  Abrego hits home with a cross.  
Abrego steps inside.  Colindres connects with a left hook.  Abrego ties up his opponent.  Abrego tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Colindres behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Abrego steps inside.  Colindres throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Abrego clinches his opponent.  Colindres tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Abrego's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Colindres.  
Abrego sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Colindres lands a left hook.  Abrego holds on to his opponent.  Colindres leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Abrego uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Colindres behind the head. 
Abrego connects with a hurtful cross.  COLINDRES IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Abrego!
