Boxing Daily Report from the Philippines National Finals 2042,  taking place on 11/04/2042 from Davao City, Philippines:

The Davao City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Loredo Malagon (2 - 13) who hails from Taytay, Philippines and Paul Paat(38(6) - 13(1)) from Koronadal, Philippines.  

Round 1: 

Paat advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Malagon almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Malagon lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Paat gets on the inside and forces Malagon to retreat onto the ropes.  Paat pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body, AND MALAGON IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Malagon throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Malagon steps to the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Malagon connects with an overhand right.  Malagon tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Malagon finds the target with a jab.  
Paat is looking to close the distance.  Malagon throws a left hook, but Paat holds on to his opponent.  Paat hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. As they grapple, Paat pushes his forearm into Malagon's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Paat about fouling.  
Paat is on target with a sharp left hook to Malagon's liver.  
Paat throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Paat clinches his opponent.  Paat leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Malagon lands a jab.  
Malagon is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab.  
Malagon connects with a stinging cross.  
Paat drives a stinging left hook into Malagon's body.  
Malagon is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws an overhand right, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a DEVASTATING right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MALAGON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Malagon quickly recovers. 
Malagon hits home with an overhand left.  
Paat closes the distance.  Paat pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Paat walks his opponent into the blue corner.  Paat senses Malagon is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Paat lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body, DROPPING MALAGON TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Malagon now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Malagon is on target with a left hook.  Malagon tries to land a left uppercut, but Paat blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Malagon's body.  
Paat pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Paat connects with a FEROCIOUS right hook.  MALAGON WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Paat senses Malagon is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Paat lands a left hook, right uppercut and a cross to his opponents head, AND MALAGON IS KNOCKED DOWN!  The ref does not give Malagon the chance to beat the count...The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Paat!
