Vicente Maldonado vs Shayan Hosni

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 12/04/2042 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil:

The Rio de Janeiro venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Vicente Maldonado (23 - 2) who hails from Duque de Cazias, Brazil and Shayan Hosni(1 - 3) from Alexandria, Egypt.  

Round 1: 

Maldonado hits home with a sharp overhand right.  
Maldonado finds the target with a jab.  
Hosni is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Maldonado connects with a cross.  
Hosni steps inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Maldonado sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a stinging left hook.

Maldonado is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Maldonado sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Hosni attempts to land a jab, but Maldonado blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to Hosni's body.  
Maldonado circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Hosni tries to land a jab, but Maldonado blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Maldonado tries to step out of his opponents range and hits the target with a stiff jab.  
Maldonado drives a right hook into Hosni's body.  
Hosni lands an overhand left.  
Maldonado feints a right hook, and then drives a firm cross into his opponents body.  
Hosni steps inside and is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Maldonado switches the action to the outside.  Hosni hits home with a solid overhand left.

Maldonado steps away from his opponent.  Hosni attempts to land a jab, but Maldonado slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Maldonado feints a jab, and then drives a solid cross into his opponents body.  
Hosni closes the distance and manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Hosni throws a right hook, but Maldonado clinches his opponent.  Hosni leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Maldonado uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Hosni's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Maldonado about fouling.  
Hosni steps away from his opponent.  Maldonado finds the target with a jab.  
Hosni lands a firm left hook.  
Hosni closes the distance.  Maldonado is on target with a sharp left uppercut to Hosni's liver.  
Hosni steps inside.  Hosni sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Maldonado lands a sharp left hook.  
Hosni advances into close range and walks Maldonado down, trapping him on the ropes.  Hosni pivots to the side of his opponent, but Maldonado lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.
