Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 24/04/2042 from El Paso, USA:

The El Paso venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jamie Quire (38 - 6) who hails from Dallas, USA and Nathan Matheson(1 - 11) from Philadelphia, USA.  

Round 1: 

Matheson is looking to close the distance and connects with a left hook.  Matheson tries to land a right uppercut, but Quire slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Quire is on target with a jab.  
Quire is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a cross.

Quire backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Matheson is whaling away with hooks, but Quire keeps his defence tight.  
Quire attempts to land a left hook, but Matheson dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Matheson is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Quire lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Matheson closes the distance and connects with a right uppercut.  
Matheson hits home with a right hook.  
Matheson gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Matheson sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Quire lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Matheson throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Quire hits home with a cross.  
Matheson lands two straights to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Matheson finds the target with a jab.  
Quire is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a jab to his opponents body.

Matheson attempts to land a left hook, but Quire blocks the shot and counters with a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Quire lands a cross to Matheson's body.  
Matheson is looking to close the distance.  Quire lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Quire lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Matheson lands a left uppercut.  Quire clinches his opponent.  Quire leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Quire's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
