Josh Morlan vs Spencer Bowen

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 15/05/2042 from El Paso, USA:

The El Paso venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Josh Morlan (70(7) - 12) who hails from Houston, USA and Spencer Bowen(2 - 8) from Boston, USA.  

Round 1: 

Morlan gets on the inside.  Bowen is on target with a solid left hook.  Morlan clinches his opponent.  Morlan is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Morlan to stop fouling.  
Morlan pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Morlan lands a jab.  
Morlan advances into close range.  Morlan sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bowen drives a right hook into Morlan's ribs.  Bowen throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Morlan lands a jab, left hook and a cross to his opponents head.  
Morlan lands a jab.  
Bowen advances into close range.  Morlan drives a left hook into Bowen's body.  
Morlan lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Morlan throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Bowen hits home with a right uppercut.  
Morlan gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Bowen throws a right hook, but Morlan ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Bowen pushes his forearm into Morlan's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Morlan connects with a right hook.  
Bowen throws a left hook, but Morlan ties up his opponent.  Morlan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bowen attempts to land a left uppercut, but Morlan blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Morlan walks Bowen onto the ropes.  Morlan drives a sharp left hook into Bowen's body.  
Morlan lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Morlan is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Bowen steps inside.  Bowen sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bowen hits home with a left hook.  Bowen tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Morlan is on target with a sharp left hook to Bowen's body.  
Morlan steps inside and lands a solid left uppercut.  
Morlan pivots to the left of his opponent.  Morlan digs in a solid left uppercut to Bowen's body.  Morlan clinches his opponent.  Morlan leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bowen lands a right hook.  Morlan ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks Morlan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Morlan lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Morlan is looking to close the distance and hits home with a solid left hook.  
Morlan finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Bowen throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Morlan ties up his opponent.  Bowen pushes his forearm into Morlan's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Morlan is on target with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Morlan manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Morlan lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Bowen pivots to the side of his opponent, but Morlan lands a left hook, jab and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Morlan gets on the inside.  Bowen tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Bowen feints a jab, but Morlan ignores the feint and lands with a sharp cross.  
Morlan closes the distance and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Morlan lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Bowen almost instantly recovers. 
Morlan pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a firm right hook.  
Morlan lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Morlan lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Morlan is on target with a stinging left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Morlan gets on the inside and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Morlan ties up his opponent.  Morlan leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Morlan pushes his forearm into Bowen's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Morlan about fouling.  
Bowen attempts to land a left hook, but Morlan parries the shot and counters with a solid cross.

Morlan steps inside.  Bowen throws a right hook, but Morlan clinches his opponent.  Morlan tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Bowen behind the head. Bowen leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Morlan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Morlan lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Bowen stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Morlan lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Bowen steps inside.  Morlan drives a left hook into Bowen's ribs.  
Morlan lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Morlan ties up his opponent.  Morlan leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Bowen quickly recovers. 
Morlan manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Morlan lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Morlan drives a left hook into Bowen's body.  
Morlan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Morlan lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Morlan is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Morlan lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the head, AND DOWN GOES BOWEN!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  Bowen now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Bowen hits home with a firm right hook.  
Morlan closes the distance.  Morlan sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bowen throws a left hook, but Morlan holds on to his opponent.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Morlan to stop holding.
