Sammy Steen vs Peter Daly

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 21/05/2042 from Los Angeles, USA:

The Los Angeles venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Sammy Steen (37 - 11) who hails from Ontario, USA and Peter Daly(1 - 2) from Detroit, USA.  

Round 1: 

Steen steps to the outside and drives a jab into Daly's body.  
Daly closes the distance and hits home with a solid right hook.  
Steen is on target with a stinging overhand right.  
Daly closes the distance.  Steen is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Steen tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a jab.  
Daly steps inside.  Steen lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Steen holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Steen pushes his forearm into Daly's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Steen about fouling.  
Steen tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but Daly sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.

Daly gets on the inside.  Daly sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Steen lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Steen tries to keep the action at long range.  Daly throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Steen tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Steen's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.

Daly walks Steen onto the ropes.  Steen hits home with a left hook.  
Daly pivots from in front of his opponent.  Daly throws a left uppercut, but Steen holds on to his opponent.  Daly is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.
