Mark Lace vs Davie Mattix

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 09/06/2042 from Eugene, USA:

The Eugene venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mark Lace (1 - 10(1)) who hails from Portland, USA and Davie Mattix(2 - 8(2)) from New York City, USA.  

Round 1: 

Mattix lands with a stiff jab.  
Lace lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Mattix snaps his opponents head back with a hard jab.  
Lace tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Mattix throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Lace steps away from his opponent and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Mattix advances into close range and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Mattix lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Lace is on target with a stinging right hook to Mattix's ribcage.  
Lace feints a left, and then is on target with a solid cross.  
Lace tries to keep the action at long range.  Mattix lands a straight 1 - 2.

Lace lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Mattix closes the distance and manouvers Lace onto the ropes.  Mattix quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Lace lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Lace pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Lace switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Mattix hits home with a cross.  
Mattix cuts off the ring, trapping Lace in a neutral corner.  Lace drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Lace hits home with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Lace's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win. Mattix's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!
