Toma Pogorelov vs Fedor Samedov

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 04/07/2042 from Moscow, Russia:

The Moscow venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Toma Pogorelov (23 - 17) who hails from Moscow, Russia and Fedor Samedov(1 - 10) from Nizhnekamsk, Russia.  

Round 1: 

Pogorelov finds the target with a solid jab.

Samedov tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land a jab, but Pogorelov blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Samedov quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Pogorelov sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Pogorelov digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Pogorelov is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Samedov is looking to keep his distance.  Samedov quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Pogorelov connects with a cross.  
Pogorelov steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Pogorelov connects with a left hook.  Pogorelov clinches his opponent.  Pogorelov is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Pogorelov manouvers Samedov onto the ropes.  Samedov is on target with a right uppercut.  Pogorelov holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Pogorelov pushes his forearm into Samedov's face.  The ref breaks Pogorelov's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Pogorelov throws a right hook, but is off-target.  Pogorelov ties up his opponent.  Pogorelov is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pogorelov about fouling.  
Samedov forces Pogorelov to retreat into the corner.  Pogorelov is on target with a left hook to Samedov's liver.  
Samedov pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Pogorelov is looking to close the distance.  Samedov is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  Samedov goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Pogorelov's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
