The Havana venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jair Villanueva (97(18) - 7(1)) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Ponce Meno(1 - 2) from Havana, Cuba.  

Round 1: 

Meno pivots to the left of his opponent, but Villanueva finds the target with a jab.

Villanueva lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Villanueva clinches his opponent.  Villanueva leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Villanueva advances into close range.  Meno sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Villanueva is on target with a mean left hook.  MENO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.
