Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 17/10/2042 from Manchester, UK:

The Manchester venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Joey McKay (37 - 10) who hails from Norwich, UK and Richard Hughes(1 - 11) from London, UK.  

Round 1: 

McKay pivots from in front of his opponent, but Hughes lands a stinging right hook.  
McKay manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  McKay connects with a firm cross.  
McKay lands a jab.  
Hughes feints a left hook, but McKay is not fooled and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Hughes steps to the outside and hits home with a cross.

McKay tries to step out of his opponents range.  McKay feints a cross, tricking Hughes into countering with a cross.  McKay springs the trap and counters with  a sharp right hook.  
McKay pivots to the right of his opponent, but Hughes hits home with a left hook.  
McKay quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Hughes lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
McKay is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
McKay lands with a stiff jab.  McKay attempts to land a jab, but Hughes blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...McKay's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid. Hughes's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

McKay steps inside.  Hughes throws a left hook, but McKay clinches his opponent.  Hughes is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. McKay is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns McKay to stop fouling.  
McKay is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  McKay clinches his opponent.  McKay leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. McKay uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Hughes behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures McKay about fouling.

McKay manouvers Hughes onto the ropes.  McKay sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  McKay hits home with a solid right hook.  McKay clinches his opponent.  McKay throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee warns McKay and breaks the clinch.  
McKay lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  McKay throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
McKay is looking to close the distance.  McKay pivots to the side of his opponent, but Hughes lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.
