Dimos Godino vs Santiago Cruz

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 17/11/2042 from Ponce, Puerto Rico:

The Ponce venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dimos Godino (53 - 13) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Santiago Cruz(13 - 22) from San Juan, Puerto Rico.  

Round 1: 

Godino lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.

Cruz sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Godino hits home with a stinging jab.

Cruz is looking to close the distance and forces Godino to back into the ropes.  Cruz digs in a solid right uppercut to his opponents body.  Godino holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks Godino's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Cruz is on target with a firm right hook.  
Cruz lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Godino is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Godino quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Godino is looking to keep his distance.  Godino feints a jab, tricking Cruz into throwing a left uppercut counter.  Godino avoids the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.
